Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav lauds Jabalpur police force's adoption of technology, solving complex cases with NAFIS, e-Summons System, and e-Sakshya Portal.

In a programme held in Tilwara, Jabalpur on Saturday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav praised the Jabalpur police force for its effective use of technology to strengthen policing in Madhya Pradesh.

The Chief Minister highlighted the implementation of the National Automated Fingerprint Identification System (NAFIS), which has a database of over 16 lakh fingerprints and has helped solve more than 1,200 complex cases. He also noted that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to establish the identity of unidentified deceased persons through NAFIS.

Dr. Yadav mentioned the e-Summons System, implemented for the first time in Madhya Pradesh, which has served more than 36 lakh summons and warrants. He also noted that over 2.30 lakh digital evidence records have been uploaded to the e-Sakshya Portal.

The Chief Minister announced the inauguration of several new police facilities, including 96 newly constructed police constable quarters, a new Divisional Police Office, and the new Tilwara Police Station building. He also revealed plans for a new police station at Maharajpur in Jabalpur.

Dr. Yadav emphasized the importance of cyber security awareness, citing the Safe Click 2.0 campaign as the country's largest cyber security initiative. The programme has reached over one crore citizens directly and digital platforms have carried cyber safety messages to more than six crore people.

The Chief Minister announced plans for a scheme to provide financial assistance to police personnel to purchase homes, ensuring they have a house of their own after retirement. He also announced fresh recruitment for Police Bands in every district to enhance ceremonial events such as Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations.
