Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reviews national highway projects with Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, discussing priority on quality, road safety, and expediting projects in view of Simhastha 2028 and for Kanha National Park connectivity.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that road projects are being implemented at a fast pace across Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and initiatives by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari. This strategy has reportedly boosted industrial activities as well as religious tourism.
During a review meeting on national highway projects held at the Chief Minister’s Residence, Dr. Yadav briefed Union Minister Shri Gadkari on major state projects and future expansion plans. Union Minister Shri Gadkari emphasized the importance of giving top priority to quality in road project construction.
He also suggested addressing delays in road projects by engaging in dialogue and coordination with local residents, and maintaining regular communication between state government officials and concerned Union ministries regarding land acquisition and forest clearance cases. Shri Gadkari directed that all projects should be completed without delay.
The meeting also discussed strengthening the road connectivity to 'Kanha National Park' from Nagpur, Jabalpur, and Raipur. The Atal Expressway is expected to be extended up to Bateshwar in Uttar Pradesh, in remembrance of late former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee who had a special association with the region.
