Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announces the resumption of public bus services, discontinued for past 21 years, on Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Jayanti. The service will be based on a modern and unique model, including e-buses and luxury services.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that September 25 will be a historic day for the state as public bus transport services, discontinued for the past 21 years, will be resumed on Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Jayanti, the proponent of Integral Humanism. This announcement was made during a review of preparations at BHEL Dussehra Maidan for the launch of the Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Seva.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with media representatives on Thursday evening and stated that the service would be based on a modern and unique model, under which various bus services, including e-buses, will be rolled out in a phased manner across all cities and districts of the state. To enhance passenger convenience, bus stops, bus terminals, and an advanced control system equipped with modern electronic technology will be developed.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav further mentioned that luxury bus services, ranging from city buses to services within the state and to other states, would also be introduced soon. This would make travel from major cities of the state to major pilgrimage centres and metropolitan cities across the country more convenient.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also confirmed that Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari will be present in Bhopal for the launch of the Chief Minister Sugam Parivahan Seva.
