Manipur's Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh has emphasized the need for sustained interaction, dialogue, and understanding among communities to overcome the trust deficit in Manipur. The restoration of peace is the foremost priority of the new government.
Manipur’s Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh, in a guest lecture at MSFDS in Imphal organized by Assam Rifles, called for sustained and collective efforts from all sections of society to overcome the prevailing trust deficit between different communities in Manipur. He stated that this task cannot be achieved merely through discussion or rhetoric but requires sustained interaction, dialogue, and understanding among communities.
Mr Khemchand further expressed that the restoration of peace is the foremost priority for the new government and they will not compromise on this objective. He acknowledged that incidents of violence continue to undermine efforts towards peace and urged to identify and address those who seek to spread hatred and conflict.
