The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has expressed pride in the performance of the Indian contingent at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow. In a series of tweets on X, he congratulated all the medal winners and commended their exceptional skill, determination, and dedication displayed throughout the Games.
Modi was particularly delighted that India won 39 medals, including 13 Gold medals. He wrote, 'Proud of our contingent’s performance at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games… Their hard work will keep inspiring our youngsters.'
Shri Modi also extended his best wishes to the entire Indian contingent for their future endeavors and expressed hope that they would continue to bring greater glory to the nation.
