Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia inaugurates the renovated Guna Head Post Office, marking an important step towards modernizing postal infrastructure and expanding services under the Jan Sewa Connect initiative.
On September 17th, 2026, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Hon’ble Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, inaugurated the renovated Guna Head Post Office in Madhya Pradesh. The renovation cost approximately INR [amount withheld] and was designed in accordance with the modern design guidelines of the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, under the Department of Posts’ Jan Sewa Connect initiative. The upgraded infrastructure aims to make services more convenient, accessible, and customer-friendly, while providing a better experience to the people of Guna and the surrounding areas. During the inauguration, Scindia appreciated the services being provided by the Department of Posts in the region and the efforts being undertaken to modernize the postal network. He highlighted the well-organized token system introduced at the renovated post office, a digital display screen for service timelines, and the digital transformation of postal services through apps.
Guna Head Post Office serves a large population of the district and, with its modernised infrastructure, will continue to provide reliable, accessible, and citizen-centric postal and financial services. The inauguration represents another step towards the Department of Posts’ broader efforts in modernizing postal infrastructure, expanding services, strengthening digital delivery, and enhancing the capabilities of its workforce.
