The Union Cabinet, led by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, passed a resolution commemorating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25-year tenure as a head of government. The recognition highlights Modi's significant influence in Indian politics.
On October 7, 2021, the Union Cabinet marked a remarkable milestone by passing a resolution to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi for completing 25 years as the head of government. This recognition acknowledges Modi's journey that began on October 7, 2001, when he was appointed Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasized the importance of Modi's tenure, stating it as a testament to the strength of Indian democracy. He pointed out that Modi, an individual from an ordinary family, has dedicated his life to serving the nation and continues to do so, thereby setting an exemplary standard for India's democratic maturity.
Vaishnaw further noted that Modi's unique history in any democratic country is rooted in the repeated support he has received from the people. This support, according to him, stems from Modi's distinctive style of functioning, right policies, and clear intentions.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have consistently prioritized public service, national service, and the spirit of putting the nation first. The minister highlighted ten significant aspects of this Cabinet resolution.
Firstly, the resolution recognizes the expansion of the vision of development from Gujarat to the entire country. Prime Minister Modi introduced various changes in Gujarat through his programs and policies, which earned him international recognition and acclaim for the 'Gujarat model'. This model was subsequently adopted nationwide.
