The Uttar Pradesh government has set up a helpline, 1070, to assist citizens of the state stranded in Nepal and increased vigilance at its border districts.
In response to the situation of Uttar Pradesh residents stranded in Nepal due to recent flooding, the state government has issued a helpline number, 1070. The Relief Commissioner’s Office explains that this number is intended for families of stranded citizens seeking assistance or those requiring help. Additionally, efforts are underway at the embassy level to ensure the safe return of these individuals and provide immediate aid.
The Uttar Pradesh government has also increased vigilance in its border districts of Maharajganj and Kushinagar due to the flooding situation in Nepal. Instructions have been given to continuously monitor the water levels of the Gandak and Narayani rivers.
