Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced support for the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's birth centenary celebrations of late Ashok Singhal and its social harmony programme. He also addressed initiatives related to Gaushalas, improved-breed calves distribution, and the Uniform Civil Code.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav paid tribute to the late Ashok Singhal, a senior leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) who advocated for nationalist thought and social harmony. The Madhya Pradesh Government announced its intent to provide appropriate support for organising the birth centenary celebrations of Singhal and the VHP's social harmony programme. During an inaugural event at the Ravindra Bhavan auditorium, Dr. Yadav also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his commitment to national service and good governance. He acknowledged Singhal's efforts towards promoting unity amidst various social challenges in the country. The Chief Minister mentioned that citizens across India contribute to strengthening Indian culture, national consciousness, and social harmony. Notably, he pointed out initiatives such as the abrogation of Article 370 and measures against terrorism and Naxalism that have fostered rapid development. In addition, Dr. Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh's initiative to implement the Uniform Civil Code, which has received broad support from all communities. The Chief Minister also discussed Gaushala-related developments in Madhya Pradesh, including the growing popularity of 'Gopal in every household'. Large gaushalas have been established, kanji houses in cities have been transformed into care centres, and arrangements have been made for aged cattle feed and conservation efforts up to the panchayat level. The state has set an annual target for distributing improved-breed indigenous calves, with Gir cattle being identified as a means to increase milk production benefiting farmers and livestock rearers. Dr. Yadav expressed hope that Lord Shri Krishna would smile in Mathura and mentioned the collective celebration of festivals such as Janmashtami and Govardhan Jayanti across the state.
