The Indian mixed team in air pistol event advances to the final after topping qualifications, while Manush Shah and Diya Chitale reach the semi-finals in table tennis.

In the Asian Games being held in Nagoya, Japan, the Indian duo of Kamaljeet and Suruchi Singh have made significant strides in the mixed team 10m air pistol event. They topped the qualification round with a total score of 587, which included 29 inner 10s.

Initially, the pair recorded a score of 196 in the opening series. In the second series, they scored 195, propelling their tally to 391 after two series, leaving them with only 20 shots to secure a spot among the top four pairs that advance to the final.

They continued their strong performance by scoring another 196 in the third series, bringing their total score to 587. This marks India’s final opportunity for a medal in the 10m air pistol events after a challenging campaign so far.

In table tennis mixed doubles, India's Manush Shah and Diya Chitale achieved a significant victory over world No. 4 Doo Hoi Kem and Wong Chun Ting of Hong Kong, securing a 3-1 win in the quarterfinals to advance to the semi-finals at the Asian Games. The Indian duo won 11-6, 13-15, 11-9, 11-5.

Shah and Chitale will now face China’s Sun Yingsha and Wang Chuqin in the semifinals.
