Madhya Pradesh wins a national award for successfully and transparently implementing biometric-based pre-authorization under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
Madhya Pradesh has received a national award in the category of 'Best Performing Large State – Highest Pre-Authorizations with Biometric Authentication' under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). This recognition acknowledges the state's effective, transparent, and successful implementation of the biometric-based pre-authorization process under the scheme.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla expressed his happiness over the recognition, attributing it to the State Government's focus on transparency in healthcare services, technology-driven governance, and citizen-centric welfare. He lauded the efforts of Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Madhya Pradesh team, district officials, hospitals, and all associated officers and employees under Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav's leadership.
The award was presented to Shri Arvind Shah, CEO of Ayushman Bharat Niramayam Madhya Pradesh, by Sushri Punya Salila Srivastava, Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, during the National Review Meeting (Chintan Shivir) organized by the National Health Authority (NHA) at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi. The event was attended by Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Authority, Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Joint Secretary Shri Kiran Gopal Vaska and senior officials from the National Health Authority and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). With its outstanding performance, Madhya Pradesh has emerged as one of the leading large states in the country in this area.
