The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, shares Union Minister Chirag Paswan's article highlighting the impact of the PMFME Scheme on grassroots entrepreneurship, particularly among women in India's micro food processing sector.

On July 21, 2026, the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, shared an article written by Union Minister Chirag Paswan. The article underscores the significant role of India's micro food processing sector in driving grassroots entrepreneurship, particularly among women. According to the Prime Minister, this sector is being facilitated by the PMFME Scheme, which offers affordable finance, technology, branding, and market linkages to local producers. These benefits empower local producers to transition from being employees to job creators, thereby bolstering rural economies and contributing to the nation's self-reliant vision, Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The Prime Minister also emphasized that this initiative plays a crucial role in fostering economic growth in rural areas and promoting self-reliance among women entrepreneurs.

The PMFME Scheme is formalising enterprises by providing affordable finance, technology, branding, and market linkages to local producers. This enables these local producers to become job creators, strengthen rural economies, and build an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The Prime Minister posted on Twitter: 'India's micro food processing sector is powering grassroots entrepreneurship, particularly among women. Union Minister Shri @iChiragPaswan highlights how the PMFME Scheme is formalising enterprises through affordable finance, technology, branding and market linkages. It is enabling local producers to become job creators, strengthen rural economies and build an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.'
