Indian Prime Minister will visit Uzbekistan for a bilateral meeting and attend the 26th SCO Summit in Kyrgyz Republic.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to embark on an official visit to Uzbekistan from 29–30 August 2026, following an invitation by President H.E. Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This marks the fourth visit for PM Modi to Uzbekistan, during which he will hold delegation-level talks with President Mirziyoyev to strengthen strategic partnership between the two countries. Discussions will encompass topics such as trade and investment, defence, digital connectivity, energy, education, and people-to-people cooperation. Additionally, the leaders are expected to discuss their shared visions for Viksit Bharat 2047 and Uzbekistan-2030.
Furthermore, PM Modi is also scheduled to visit the Shastri Memorial in Tashkent and the Mahatma Gandhi Centre at the Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies. From there, he will travel to Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic, to participate in the 26th SCO Summit on 31 August – 1 September 2026.
The summit marks the 25th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, of which India has been a full member since 2017. During this event, PM Modi will address the forum and highlight India’s priorities of Security, Connectivity, and Opportunity. He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with SCO leaders on the sidelines of the Summit and attend the Opening Ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games.
